Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
The Avionics Systems Architect is responsible for defining, assessing, and optimizing avionics suite architectures to meet customer requirements. The role involves requirements analysis, architecture trade studies, platform sizing, and technical support during integration and demonstration activities, while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze customer high-level requirements.
Assess existing avionics architectures and identify gaps against customer needs.
Define and size avionics platforms to support required avionics functions and performance objectives.
Perform architecture trade-off analyses and recommend optimized solutions.
Develop and document system-level architecture recommendations.
Support integration activities and customer demonstration testing.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and product engineering teams to ensure alignment of architecture decisions.
Required Competencies
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in the aerospace industry, with expertise in avionics systems and architectures.
Experience in requirements analysis, decomposition, and specification development.
Proven experience performing architecture trade studies and system-level analyses.
Strong systems engineering background.
Experience with Integrated Avionics Systems (IAS) architectures.
Knowledge of avionics platforms, functions, and airborne systems integration.
Experience supporting system integration, validation, and customer demonstrations.
Familiarity with aerospace development lifecycles and certification environments.
Miscellaneous Requirements
• The work model is hybrid (at least 3 days at the office).
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory.
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
