Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
We are seeking a System Verification & Validation (IVV) Engineer to support the verification of avionics flight control systems for a leading aerospace program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing system-level test procedures, validating requirements compliance, documenting test results, and supporting system integration activities within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine test procedures based on system requirements.
Execute verification and validation activities on system integration test benches.
Analyze test results and document findings.
Produce comprehensive test reports and verification evidence.
Support system integration activities and troubleshooting efforts.
Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, and status meetings.
Ensure compliance with aerospace development and certification processes.
Collaborate with systems, software, and integration engineering teams.
Required Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in System Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) activities.
Aerospace industry experience.
Knowledge of flight control systems or other safety-critical embedded control systems.
Understanding of DO-178 development and verification processes.
Experience developing and executing system-level test procedures.
Experience creating test reports and verification documentation.
Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Miscellaneous Requirements
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
Knowledge of avionics system architecture and aircraft integration.
Experience with requirements management tools (such as DOORS).
Familiarity with configuration and change management processes.
Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or system integration test benches.
Experience supporting certification activities for airborne systems.
Knowledge of software verification or embedded systems development.
Previous experience with safety-critical systems in aerospace, defense, rail, or transportation industries.
Experience working within a structured systems engineering workbench or development environment.
Hybrid work model.
Minimum three days per week onsite in Montreal.
Increased onsite presence may be required during integration and test campaigns.
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
