Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
The Flight Control Systems Development Engineer supports the development of safety-critical flight control applications by defining, reviewing, and maintaining system requirements and models. The role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements and aerospace development standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review High-Level Requirements (HLR) based on customer requirements.
Develop and review Low-Level Requirements (LLR) in MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring alignment with HLRs.
Model and document safety-critical embedded control systems.
Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, and project status meetings.
Support requirements traceability and systems engineering activities throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with systems, software, verification, and integration teams to ensure program objectives are achieved.
Required Competencies
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with flight control systems or other safety-critical embedded control systems.
Strong experience in requirements specification and design engineering.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and requirements development.
Knowledge of DO-178 and safety-critical software/system development processes.
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with flight control systems or other safety-critical embedded control systems.
Strong experience in requirements specification and design engineering.
Miscellaneous Requirements
The work model is hybrid (at least 3 days at the office).
Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory.
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
