Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
Develop and review High-Level Requirements (HLRs) based on customer and system requirements.
Develop and review Low-Level Requirements (LLRs) using MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring traceability to system requirements.
Support the design and development of safety-critical flight control and embedded control systems.
Participate in project planning, technical reviews, and cross-functional engineering meetings.
Contribute to systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, design, validation, and documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the aerospace system development lifecycle.
Required Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience developing requirements for embedded or safety-critical systems.
Knowledge of flight control systems, avionics systems, or other critical control systems.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and requirements development.
Familiarity with DO-178 standards and aerospace development processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
Miscellaneous Requirements
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with regular on-site presence.
Availability for increased on-site support during system integration and testing activities.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
Previous experience in the aerospace or avionics industry is considered an asset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Work can be done remotely.
For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
