Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
Join the Hardware and Test Aerospace (HTA) team to contribute to the development and enhancement of test benches supporting leading aerospace programs.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the in-house Data Acquisition System and Simulation (DASS) platform.
Optimize DASS applications running on NI Linux Real-Time.
Integrate new data acquisition and I/O boards into the DASS architecture.
Develop and maintain source code in LabVIEW and/or VeriStand for test and simulation systems.
Execute proof-of-concept (POC) activities using NI VeriStand and the hardware platforms used by Thales.
Integrate third-party hardware into VeriStand environments.
Participate in the migration of existing systems to NI VeriStand.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges related to existing and future test benches.
Contribute to the development of test solutions for various aerospace programs and customers.
Required Competencies
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience developing applications using LabVIEW.
Knowledge of NI Linux Real-Time (NI Linux RT).
Experience with data acquisition systems, test benches, and real-time simulation environments.
Knowledge of communication protocols including Ethernet, ARINC 429, RS-485, and CAN (ARINC 825).
Knowledge of fault injection principles.
Experience or knowledge of real-time simulation techniques.
Knowledge of calibration, VDT, and resolver technologies.
Professional proficiency in spoken and written French.
Ability to work in English in a professional environment.
Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) certification is considered an asset.
Experience integrating MathWorks solutions with LabVIEW is considered an asset.
Miscellaneous Requirements
The work model is hybrid (at least 3 days at the office in Montreal).
Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory.
Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
