Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all configuration management activities across assigned projects, working closely with Engineering Delivery Managers and key stakeholders.
Adapt and execute the configuration management framework in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of project information within the configuration management system.
Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management Plans while considering product line specific requirements.
Manage configuration identification activities, including configuration item selection, product breakdown structures, and baseline requirements.
Organize and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
Establish and maintain configuration baselines, including Functional Baselines (FBL), Allocated Baselines (ABL), and Product Baselines (PBL).
Monitor, record, and report configuration status throughout the project lifecycle.
Plan and coordinate Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
Promote configuration management best practices through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing with project teams.
Support engineering teams in change management activities and oversee design change implementation.
Ensure effective configuration control throughout system, hardware, and software development and integration activities.
Required Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering or aerospace product development.
Experience working within the aerospace industry and understanding of regulated development environments.
Strong background in configuration management processes, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and configuration control practices.
Knowledge of system, hardware, and software integration principles.
Experience establishing and maintaining configuration baselines and managing engineering changes.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Miscellaneous Requirements
On-site presence at the Montreal office required a minimum of three (3) days per week; additional on-site attendance may be required during integration phases.
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
