Career Opportunity and Primary Responsibilities
The Drone Operations and Ground Equipment System Engineer will work in a team focused on design, development, testing, and deployment of both electro-mechanical and software products.
The main responsibilities of this position will be to perform verification on system and subsystem level requirements, which will include hardware/software integration testing across one or more systems to ensure full functionality of the product.
Required Competencies
- Develop test plans to enable system and subsystem-level verification of requirements.
- Develop user stories to help drive software development and improvements.
- Perform high-level electro-mechanical design of ground-based systems.
Other Desired Competencies
- 3-5 years plus experience in similar position.
- Previous working experience with software development/testing, product design, and system integration.
- Experience in MATLAB and other system modeling software.
- Experience in safety-critical software development and ground operations to support aircraft flights is considered an asset.
- Ability to identify required data to quantitatively assess the functionality of a system/subsystem.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
- Work can be done remotely.
- For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
- The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
