Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
We are looking for a TPM and System Verification, Aerospace to lead various engineering projects as well as contribute technically to the system verification activities.
The TPM will communicate closely with the customer (internal or external) to deliver the projects while meeting the expectations from a quality, schedule, and budget standpoint.
The chosen candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams to succeed in a dynamic environment as well as experience writing test cases, developing and executing test procedures/scripts, and system integration & debugging.
The Project Manager’s objectives are to:
- Lead a team to achieve project objectives such as customer satisfaction, budget and schedule objectives
- Plan and execute the project in accordance with defined objectives
- Lead/manage engineering projects as required, ensuring that the customer and certification requirements are met and that project costs are effectively managed
- Responsible and accountable for the most effective and appropriate utilization of the organization’s resources for the project
- Responsible for project planning, budgeting and manpower planning
- Provide realistic estimates and monitor progress regularly
- Lead audits with the customer and certification authorities
- Influence overall V&V strategy by helping define product features, enabling QA during design, and spearheading best practices to enable a quality product
- Define mechanisms and metrics to determine and drive improvements to test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the product.
- Work with Design & Test teams to understand test cases/procedures and test infrastructure
- Be an active member of the system verification team to develop, execute, and review requirements-based test cases and procedures
Required Competencies
- At least 5 years’ experience in Systems development and verification
- Experience in a Technical Project Management role leading safety critical software development projects / programs
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering in commercial aerospace is required
- Detailed work experience in systems development and verification following the guidance defined in SAE ARP4754, ARP4761
- Experience with software and hardware industry standards such as: DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160.
- Experience in programming languages such as Python/C++ and scripting to build test automation.
- Experience in software testing.
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field from an accredited institute
- Significant experience of direct client interaction, at management and working levels
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Work can be done remotely.
- For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
- The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
