Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are currently seeking experienced System Engineers for a new exciting Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) project to support the planning, development, and certification.

Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in any of the following systems - Avionics, Electrical, GNC, Flight Controls, Communications.

Interfacing with customer and other team members the candidate must be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills will be required.

Required competencies

• System Engineer with more than 5 years’ experience (ideally 10+) in aerospace development projects/programs
• Self-starter/autonomous worker
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) and good team player
• Available full time
  

Technical knowledge and experience (ideally several items below)

• In-depth understanding and experience with System Development Process - ARP 4754A
• Understanding of ARP 4761 Safety Development Process - FHA, PSSA, FTA, FMECA
• Aircraft, Systems and Component requirement development and validation
• Create and manage validation/verification plans
  
• Experience in integrating sub-systems
  
• Aircraft CONOPS
  
• Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Management System (Mission Planning)
  
• Avionics electronics (GPS, IMU, magnetometer, air data, etc.)
  
• Aircraft Electrical Power (Battery cell, Battery Management System (BMS), Power Distribution)
  
• Vehicle Management

Required Competencies

• Familiar with aircraft certification process
• Familiar with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) development and operation
