Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a System Engineer - Perception for a new exciting Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) project to support the planning, development, and certification.
Interfacing with customer and other team members the candidate must be able to work independently.

Required Competencies

• Systems Engineer with 5-7 years’ experience in an aerospace development project/program
  
• Self-starter/autonomous worker
  
• Results oriented
  
• Excellent communications skills in English (written and oral)
• Available full time

Technical knowledge and experience

• Experience in one or several of the following: Vision Systems, Sensing, Compute Systems, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Algorithm Design, Object Detection, classification and tracking, Localization and Mapping. 
• Experience in Model Based System Engineering
• Experience with writing system development and validation/verification plans
• Knowledge of the overall ARP4754 process
• Experience with ARP4761 processes and deliverables (ideally including Safety Assessments - FHA, FTA, PSSA, FMECA)
  
• Experience in the aerospace system certification process

Other Competencies (an asset)

• Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Management System
  
• Experience with architecture development for new aircraft systems
  
• Familiar with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) development and operation
